-fall festival 2008-

We went to Journey Christian Church’s fall festival last night.  It was a lot of fun!  We have gone almost every year since Caleb was little.  The boys LOVE to get dressed up and they talk about fall festival all year long!  This year, we decided to dig in our closets to find costumes.  Caleb was Darth Vader and Alec was Jedi Luke!  Ella was a pumpkin!  All of my kids were dressed as pumpkins as babies! 

It was just our family last night, but we still had a great time.  The air was chilly – so nice!

Disney Day

Call us crazy, but we headed out to Disney on Saturday!  We were given tickets to take the boys out to Star Wars Weekend at the Hollywood Studios!  I am sure many of you have heard the boys talk about going there last year – Caleb got to light saber duel with Darth Maul!  So they were quite excited about getting to go back! 

It was extremely hot – everyone was dripping with sweat before the first ride!  But that didn’t stop us!  Lots of water to drink and a spray bottle of water cooled us off.  (Alec REALLY liked the spray bottle!)  It rained just after lunch for a couple of hours, so that cooled things off and the rest of the day was pleasant (for June!).

We got to ride the NEW Toy Sory – Midway Mania…it was SO much fun!  That will quickly become a new favorite!

This was Ella’s first trip to Disney – at 10 weeks old!    She did amazingly well!  She got to meet the Princesses!  They oohed and ahhed over her and said she had a Princess name!    Ella was sweet, but not overly impressed!  It was more for Mama!  We haven’t ever gone to the Princess room before!  (We did that while the boys were on a ride with Daddy!)  Most things she could obviously care less about!  But…there were a couple of things that caught her interest…The Spectromagic (formerly the electric light) parade!  She had gotten a little fussy, but every time she saw the lights, she just stared and was very quiet – but if there was a break in the parade, she would get upset again!  The other thing she liked was the baby doll in the store (see pic in the slide show).  And guess what…DADDY bought her the Baby Belle doll!  *smile* (and so it begins!!!)  But when she saw that doll, even with as tired as she was, she lit up and “talked” to her and smiled like crazy!  It was SO sweet!
