Ella is 10 days old!
Well, Chris had the day off today! It was wonderful to have him here. We had a great night last night – Ella, and Alec, slept great, so we all got some much needed rest! Thank You, Lord! After a relaxing morning at home, we decided to take the kids for a picnic in the park. Ella and I were ready to get out of the house a bit. So off to Lake Lily in Maitland. I love that park! We ate lunch, fed the birds and the boys played on the playground. Daddy also helped the boys to learn how to slide down the fireman’s pole! They were excited about that!
The weather was quite warm, but beautiful. Our table was under a tree, right next to the lake, so we had a nice breeze! It was so relaxing – we had nothing else to do – no other place to be. We just enjoyed being together as a family. I LOVE days like this!
Tonight we all walked around the block together – can you tell I am sick of being inside? I am tired and a little sore tonight, but seem to be gaining strength each day, so I am grateful for that!
We had family worship tonight, which was so sweet. We sang songs together and started working with the boys on the Westminster Chatechism. One of the songs we sang was “Our God Saves”. It reminded me tonight that recently we heard Alec singing this song. Instead of singing, “Hear the joyful sound of our offering” Alec’s version was, “Hear the joyful sound of our AWFUL SING!!!!” It made us laugh! Now we think of that each time we sing that song!
Today, I am reminded of God’s good gifts. I don’t deserve to have the husband or children that I have – they are truly blessings from God. I feel very rich and so grateful that the Lord would be so kind to me.

Awww….I’m so happy to see you guys are enjoying some good family time!! She’s so beautiful, and that last picture with the three of them? Oh my goodness – gorgeous!!

Great pictures! I liked them ALL but especially the one of Ella with the giant bow.:-) Too CUTE! Also, the one of the 3 kids together. Ella looks so tiny in Caleb’s arms. I’m glad you were able to get out and enjoy this beautiful weather. Sounds like you had a “memory making” day and evening. Mom

it’s been two days since you posted…. I’m feelin a wee bit neglected here!
this auntie wants to see her favorite (not to mention ONLY) niece!
Okay, so the Ella-Bella picture is too cute for words! I just want to squeeze – gently – her little cheeks. Isn’t it so kind of the Lord that he still loves and accepts our worship when at times is really can be “awful singing”! I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to sing that son in the future with out thinking of Alec! Too cute!
